Tremella Mushroom Extract

Tremella fuciformis is a flowery shaped mushroom with a gelatinous texture. It is a rich source of carbohydrates with an atypically low amount of protein. It is used in skin products for its moisturizing properties and is considered to have anti-aging effects on the skin.

Reishi Mushroom Extract

Ganoderma lingzhi, known as Reishi, has a brightly colored fan-like appearance. It is called the mushroom of immortality due to it’s powerful medicinal properties. Scientific research into the compounds responsible for Reishi’s bioactivity discovered highly active β-(1-3)(1-6)-glucans with the ability to potentiate innate immunity by activating immune cells. Also discovered were secondary metabolites called triterpenoids which are present in significant amounts. Pleurotus ostreatus, the Oyster mushroom, is full of nutrients, minerals, antioxidants and protein; providing multiple health benefits and medicinal properties such as lowering risk of heart disease. Oyster mushroom has antitumor and anti-metastatic properties towards cancer cells and may prevent the enlargement and spread of cancer cells in the body. Research suggests that oyster mushrooms may inhibit growth and proliferation of colon and breast cancer cells due to bioactive β-glucans that disrupt the cell cycle of tumor cells hindering growth and migration. Oyster mushrooms are rich in antioxidants such as phenolic acid, gallic acid and ergothioneine. Meshima Mushroom Extract

Phellinus linteus, known as Meshima or “black hoof mushroom” thanks to its resemblance to a hoof, has been used for centuries as a traditional medicine for the treatment of various cancers and inflammation related diseases. Recent research has focused on it’s immunological activity. It is proven to have antitumor properties on skin, lung and prostate cancer cells.
